We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Maintenance Technician with expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will have in-depth technical knowledge of CNC machine systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, and will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and reliability of the equipment.

This role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented technician capable of diagnosing and addressing issues in real‑time,

as well as performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Machine Maintenance:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, including millturns, lathes, high speed mills and grinders.
- Maintain all machine subsystems, including spindle motors, servo drives, ball screws, linear guides, turrets, and tool changers.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software issues in CNC machines. This includes troubleshooting faults in:

- Electrical systems: Wiring, PLCs, transformers, sensors, encoders, and motor drives (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, controls).
- Mechanical systems: Ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, and spindle assembly.
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems: Valves, actuators, pumps, and filtration systems.

CNC Control Systems & Software:

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, etc.). This includes addressing errors in machine programming, adjusting offsets, managing parameter settings, and running test programs to ensure proper operation.

Preventive Maintenance Program:

Follow a strict preventative maintenance schedule to ensure maximum machine uptime. This includes calibration of machine axes,

cleaning and lubrication of moving components, alignment of spindles, and replacing worn-out or critical components.

Machinery Calibration & Alignment:

Perform machine alignments and calibrations, ensuring that machines are operating within tolerance limits. This includes checking and adjusting axis squareness, machine geometry, and repeatability. Use laser systems, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to ensure precise alignment.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Maintenance:

Overhaul and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders. Diagnose pneumatic system issues related to actuators, valves, and air filters. Ensure that fluid levels, pressure, and airflow meet operational standards.

Spare Parts Management & Inventory Control:

Maintain and manage an inventory of spare parts for critical machine components, ensuring quick availability of essential parts to minimize downtime. Order and procure parts as needed, and manage relationships with vendors for critical components.

Assist in retrofitting or upgrading older CNC equipment, including installing current controllers, drives, motors, and feedback systems. Implement software updates, new tooling systems, and automation integrations as required by the production process.

Documentation & Reporting:

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations (OSHA, machine-specific protocols). Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.
