Shape health and social services policy as a Policy Analyst in Whitehorse, using research and strategic thinking. This permanent position is full-time.

Government of Yukon’s Health and Social Services department seeks a Policy Analyst reporting to the Director of Strategic Policy and Planning. You will research issues, develop policy options, and support implementation across health and social services. The work includes written decision-support materials, intergovernmental collaboration, and legislation-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and conduct research on health and social services issues
- Formulate and recommend policy, program, and statutory alternatives
- Support development and implementation of recommended alternatives
- Prepare briefing notes, reports,



and discussion papers
- Support work among federal, provincial, territorial, and First Nations governments

Requirements:

- Post-secondary degree in policy, public administration, or related discipline
- Government or large-organization policy research and analysis experience
- Health or social services policy experience preferred
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- WHMIS 2015 completed within one month of hire
