Resident care skills matter at AgeCare Shawnee, where Health Care Aides provide safe basic care under Licensed Practical Nurse supervision. This is regular part-time work in Calgary.

As a Health Care Aide, you will collaborate with the care team to deliver thorough services to residents. Daily work includes personal care, transfers, feeding, routine treatments, and mobility support. You will follow care plans, water temperature procedures, transfer controls, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bath, shower, and wash residents following care procedures
- Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
- Feed residents according to their care plans
- Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
- Accompany residents to meals, therapy, and recreation

Requirements:

- Recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
- Active registration with the CLHA
- Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
- One year of continuing care experience preferred
- Post-secondary education is an asset
