APL seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant I for its Accession unit within Alberta’s provincial healthcare system. You will provide protected, efficient client service while handling specimens and supporting diagnostic workflows. Collaboration with co-workers, health professionals, physicians, and patients is central to the work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procure, handle, process, and dispatch laboratory specimens
- Perform laboratory testing and related procedures
- Report results accurately and efficiently
- Support smooth, timely workflow across laboratory services




- Work independently and collaboratively to solve problems

Requirements:

- Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent completion
- Accepted Canadian MLT or CLXT program equivalency
- Completed phlebotomy training for eligible MLT or CLXT students
- Applicants with a high school diploma may be considered
- Experience with blood and ECG collections preferred
