Lead proactive health and safety systems at Inovata Foods Corp. in Tillsonburg, Ontario, using risk assessment and incident investigation expertise.

This HSE Specialist supports a food manufacturing facility through standardized policies, inspections, corrective actions, and safety reporting. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, supervisors, managers, and the Joint Health and Safety Committee. It also provides technical guidance on machine guarding, lockout, ergonomics, chemical handling, and equipment safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and documentation
- Conduct inspections, audits, floor observations, and hazard assessments
- Investigate incidents and near misses using root cause analysis
- Track corrective actions, trends, recommendations, and prevention efforts




- Coach leaders and develop safety training materials

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent Occupational Health and Safety experience
- Three to five years of progressive manufacturing or industrial HSE experience
- Robust knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety legislation
- Experience with risk assessments, investigations, audits, and corrective actions
- WHMIS 2015 certification; CRSP, CRST, or equivalent preferred
