As aClosure Design release Engineer, you will lead the development of criticalrear-vehicle systems, ensuring they meet rigorous safety, functional, andmanufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design & Development:Responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release ofrear body closure sheet metal (e.g., liftgates, decklids, or tailgates) andassociated hinging systems.
- Validation: Manage the development and validationof assigned components;
- communicate technical product status and competitorbenchmarking to management.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead packagingcoordination with adjacent departments including electromechanical(latches/cinching motors), electrical (harnessing), lighting (taillamps), andinterior/exterior trim.
- Virtual Performance:



Work closely with virtualvalidation groups to ensure the CAE scorecard is met and verify manufacturingfeasibility.
- Quality Documentation: Maintain and update DVP&R; (DesignVerification Plan & Report) and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & EffectsAnalysis).
- Supplier Management: Support and manage suppliers for qualityactions and Value Optimization (VO) activities.
- Team-oriented Alignment:Support meetings during NA work hours and collaborate with local engineering,Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, and program science teams to align iterativemodels with packaging and system requirements.
