Environmental permitting expertise meets remote or hybrid work in Ontario for Canacre’s Environmental Regulatory Specialist. Manage approvals, compliance, and project timelines.

As an intermediate-level specialist, you will support environmental assessment and permitting scopes on major infrastructure projects. Your work includes regulatory coordination, environmental plans, compliance reporting, and practical guidance for project teams. You will collaborate with Project Managers, environmental professionals, regulators, clients, landowners, and field crews.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit federal, provincial, state, and municipal applications
- Track permit conditions, approvals, timelines, and project requirements
- Coordinate environmental assessments, surveys, and technical studies
- Maintain mitigation plans for erosion, spills,



and species at risk
- Conduct inspections, audits, reporting, and corrective-action follow-up

Requirements:

- Environmental science, biology, geography, or related degree
- Three to five years’ permitting, compliance, or consulting experience
- Working knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting processes
- Experience preparing applications, environmental plans, and reports
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites
