Assess critically ill patients as a Registered Nurse in Sunnybrook’s Critical Care Unit, applying intervention, education, and patient advocacy skills.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, this Registered Nurse collaborates with the health care team, patients, and families. The position supports Patient-Focused Care, Sunnybrook’s Mission and Values, and College of Nurses of Ontario Standards. Critical thinking and person-centred care guide practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit
- Provide interventions for critically ill patient populations
- Educate patients and families about care
- Advocate for patients and support person-centred care
- Collaborate with the health care team

Requirements:

- Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Current BCLS certificate; ACLS certificate preferred
- Critical Care Certificate essential without related experience
- Two-to-three years clinical specialty experience preferred
- Successful completion of the CrCU critical care entrance quiz
