Inspect major property losses across Ottawa and surrounding areas using Xactimate and analytical estimating skills. This position follows a hybrid work model.

As a Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss, you will manage appraisals for large commercial and personal property claims. You will inspect damaged buildings, determine repair scopes, and prepare cost estimates. The role also requires vendor negotiation, customer support, and technical guidance for claims adjusters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect large loss sites and determine building damage scopes
- Prepare detailed repair, restoration, and replacement cost estimates
- Negotiate restoration cost agreements with vendors
- Provide technical support to internal and external claims adjusters
- Travel on short notice to customer locations

Requirements:

- Five to eight years of post-claim appraisal experience
- Two to three years of large loss experience
- High-level knowledge of Xactimate estimating software
- Technical knowledge of damaged building restoration
- Valid driver’s license and valuable driving record
