What might a typical day look like?
As a cashier, you will :
punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
To be a cashier is to be passionate about food and fresh products as well as having the desire to give Quebecers a taste for better food!
