Full Opportunity Brief Senior Counsel (Canada) at Walmart Canada Walmart Canada is seeking a Senior Counsel to provide strategic legal support across advertising, consumer protection, ecommerce, and regulatory matters. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, this role involves partnering with business leaders in a fast-paced retail environment to advise on customer-facing initiatives, marketing campaigns, and complex regulatory issues.
Key Eligibility Criteria LLB/JD and membership in good standing with a Canadian law society.
Minimum of 7–10 years of corporate/commercial/regulatory experience in an in-house legal department and/or leading law firm.
Strong experience advising on advertising, marketing,



consumer protection, ecommerce, and/or regulatory compliance.
Experience in retail, consumer-facing, technology, or digital commerce businesses is an asset.
Experience with privacy, CASL, and data governance is an asset.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work Provide practical legal advice on marketing, consumer protection, privacy, and ecommerce regulations.
Advise on advertising campaigns, influencer/social media initiatives, pricing, and disclosure practices.
Negotiate strategic commercial agreements including marketing, technology, SaaS, data, and vendor contracts.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on emerging risks in retail and ecommerce.
Manage external counsel and contribute to scalable legal processes and operational efficiencies.
