As Public Safety Manager, you will work under the Director of Recreation and Community Services. The position oversees licensing, community safety, by-law enforcement, and implementation of the City’s Downtown Strategy. You will ensure policies comply with provincial and federal legislation and regulations while managing people and programming.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee licensing and community safety activities
Manage by-law enforcement responsibilities
Implement the City’s Downtown Strategy
Ensure policies comply with applicable legislation
Manage people and related programming
Requirements: Post-secondary education or specialized Social Services and Law Enforcement training
Emphasis on by-law enforcement
Minimum two years of progressive management experience
Ability to interpret by-laws, statutes, and Acts
Ability to obtain required security clearances
Apply public safety management, legislative interpretation, and conflict resolution skills to municipal services in Thompson, Manitoba.
