Apply phlebotomy and blood collection skills as a temporary part time Laboratory Support I with HPHA in Seaforth and Clinton. Support hospital laboratory services across two communities.
Under laboratory leadership, this role collects patient blood samples, maintains equipment, and performs duties without independent interpretation. The Laboratory Support I supports laboratory operations, liaises between physicians and staff, and follows hospital policies. The position requires MLA certification, CSMLS examination completion, and familiarity with phlebotomy, laboratory information systems, and analysers.
Key Responsibilities: Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate techniques
Clean and maintain medical laboratory equipment
Provide support services throughout the laboratory




Liaise between physicians and laboratory staff
Participate in priority setting and work completion strategies
Requirements: Medical Laboratory Assistant or Technician certification
Accredited MLA training program graduation
Successful completion of the CSMLS MLA examination
Familiarity with phlebotomy and all blood collection types
Computer literacy with LIS, word processing, and spreadsheets
Bring certified MLA expertise, phlebotomy skills, and laboratory equipment knowledge to HPHA’s Seaforth and Clinton teams.
