Lead turf, trails, and cemetery operations for the City of North Vancouver in a temporary full-time supervisory position. Apply skilled supervision across changing service conditions.
Reporting to the Section Manager of Parks Operations, you will coordinate crews responsible for turf management, sports fields, trails, cemetery grounds, and related park maintenance. The work combines technical, supervisory, and administrative responsibilities across seasonal programs and winter response. You will support protected, effective service delivery while addressing operational priorities, public inquiries, and service requests.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate, plan, direct, and participate in parks operations crews
Supervise turf maintenance, sports fields, trails, and cemetery activities
Coordinate snow and ice response resources and operational priorities




Prepare estimates, schedules, budgets, records, and operational reports
Respond to complaints and provide technical recommendations
Requirements: Grade 12 plus horticulture, turfgrass, or parks management education
Considerable related technical and supervisory experience
Knowledge of parks operations, turfgrass, trails, and cemetery practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, PeopleSoft, and Infor Public Works
Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required
Bring parks leadership, technical supervision, and operational planning expertise to turf, trails, cemetery, and winter services.
