Responsibilities

Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack

Safe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic children

Meal plating and service and taking to classrooms

Kitchen cleaning and dishwashingCleaning of office, staffroom, foyer and other areas if needed

Cutting of varied meats

Food safety and hygiene procedures

Positively promote and market the centre to families and the community

Be an advocate of the Montessori Method to parents and potential clients





Respect and support colleagues by developing positive and ethical channels of communication that are based on principles of mutual respect, equity and fairness

Attend meetings as requested

Become familiar with Montessori Academy Policies and Procedures

Key Competencies

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Current Working with Children Check

First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment

Strong understanding of the importance of family communications

Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard

Commitment to the holistic development of their class
