We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join an engineering organization in Etobicoke, Ontario, on a long-term contract. The role supports payroll operations, employee data integrity, and reporting in a team-oriented technical environment.

Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and on schedule while following company policies, payroll legislation, and applicable collective agreement requirements.

Review bi-weekly and monthly payroll submissions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before finalization.

Maintain employee payroll and benefits information in payroll and HR systems.

Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconciliations, and analysis.

Administer deductions, taxable benefits, and related adjustments.

Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and business partners.

Assist with payroll audits, remittances, and year-end activities.

Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and payroll system activities.
