Operate cargo vans and light trucks as a casual healthcare courier driver supporting PHH, PMH, PAH, and surrounding islands. Regular travel between multiple sites is required.
Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will collect and deliver pharmaceuticals, supplies, specimens, linen, food, and other materials. This position supports Island Health’s commitment to patient and staff safety across healthcare sites. Work schedules, shift times, and days off are arranged as required. The role is casual and requires a Criminal Record Check.
Key Responsibilities: Operate cargo vans, light trucks, and trailers
Load and unload materials safely
Pick up and transport pharmaceuticals and healthcare supplies
Deliver specimens, linen, food,



and recyclable materials
Follow schedules or dispatched instructions between sites
Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent education, training, and experience
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Ability to operate related equipment
Ability to organize work and communicate effectively
Physical ability to perform position duties
Bring secure driving, organized transportation, and effective communication to Island Health’s casual courier service across surrounding islands.
