Bring operating room nursing expertise to Fraser Health as a Relief Full-Time Registered Nurse at Chilliwack General Hospital in Chilliwack, B.C.
This Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the Operating Room. The position includes assessment, care planning, documentation, evaluation, scrubbing, and circulating. Candidates need current BCCNM registration, recent clinical nursing experience, and applicable postgraduate education or certification.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
Receive and admit patients to the Operating Room
Perform scrubbing and circulating duties according to protocols
Prepare surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment
Advocate for patient autonomy, privacy, dignity,



and information access
Requirements: Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
Current practicing BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
One year of recent relevant clinical nursing experience
Postgraduate coursework or certification applicable to the clinical area
Clinical proficiency and ability to manage emergency situations
Support protected, person-centered surgical care through assessment, clinical judgment, scrubbing, circulating, and effective collaboration.
