Maintain Town of Newmarket facilities through carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment operation during a six-month contract. Respond to routine and unscheduled needs.
This experienced, non-manager position supports Community Services, Parks & Facility Services. You will maintain physical plants and buildings, inspect equipment, manage supplies, and provide customer service. The work includes ice making, facility set-up, records, contractors, and staff guidance.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and unscheduled facility maintenance and repairs
Inspect, maintain, and repair physical plant equipment
Complete ice making and quality assurance activities
Maintain supplies inventories, controls, and records




Coordinate contractors and assist with staff orientation
Requirements: Formal facility maintenance training and demonstrated maintenance experience
Certified pool operator certificate from a recognized organization
Knowledge of applicable legislation, codes, and safety regulations
Basic First Aid and CPR certification
Class D driver's licence with Z-air brake endorsement preferred
