Support older adults with complex medical conditions at Baycrest Hospital as a temporary part time Personal Support Worker on day shifts.
Working in Complex Continuing Care, you will provide personal care alongside Registered Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses. Your work supports patients’ quality-of-life goals through hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, nutrition, hydration, and preventative skin care. You will also help preserve independence, dignity, and social, emotional, and cultural well-being. The schedule includes alternate weekends and 30 bi-weekly hours.
Key Responsibilities: Support hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs
Record patients’ nutrition and hydration intake
Provide preventative skin care with nursing consultation
Support independence, dignity,



and cultural well-being
Maintain relationships with families and care providers
Requirements: Current Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent education and experience
Post-acute or acute care experience preferred
Psychogeriatric and dementia experience preferred
Gentle Persuasive Approach and U-First training preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills
Bring compassionate personal care, dementia experience, and collaborative communication to Baycrest Hospital’s Complex Continuing Care unit.
