This Material Handler position supports Steel Technologies plant operations through material inspection, shipment verification, and customer specification preparation. You will handle finished goods, organize storage areas, and maintain accurate equipment documentation. The work includes secure material movement and training new employees as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect materials for transit damage and defects
Verify shipping documents and material identification
Prepare material according to customer specifications
Organize incoming shipments in appropriate areas
Inspect cranes or forklifts and document findings
Requirements: Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to work rotating days and afternoons
Support Steel Technologies manufacturing operations through accurate inspection, safe handling, shipment organization, and equipment documentation.
