Support functional restoration at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering as an Occupational and Physiotherapy Assistant with exercise programming and patient mobility.
This temporary part time, 11-month position serves the Healthy Aging program within Physio - LHAP. You will provide prescribed programs under Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist supervision, monitor patient responses, and support mobility function. Work includes days, evenings, and weekends across four- and eight-hour shifts, subject to change.
Key Responsibilities: Provide functional restoration and exercise programs under therapist prescription
Monitor patient status and treatment responses
Assist with activities of daily living treatment
Set up classes, wheelchairs, equipment,



and supplies
Support patient mobility with therapists and mechanical aids
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Occupational or Physiotherapy Assistant program
Inpatient acute care experience
Current CPR certification
Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients
Effective communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
Bring acute care experience, patient mobility skills, and therapeutic exercise support to Lakeridge Health's Healthy Aging program.
