Women’s addiction counselling takes center stage at Lakeridge Health Pinewood Centre, supporting residential treatment through individual and group services. This regular part time position includes varied shifts.
As an Addiction Counsellor I in Destiny Manor’s Mental Health & Addictions program, you will support women in residential treatment. The work includes intake, admission, ongoing assessment, referral, case management, and counselling. You will collaborate with team members while helping develop women’s services and facilitating activities outside structured program times.
Key Responsibilities: Provide addiction counselling and related supportive services
Complete telephone support, intake, and admission activities
Conduct ongoing assessments, referrals, and case management




Deliver individual and group counselling for women
Facilitate client activities beyond structured program times
Requirements: Community College Diploma in Social Sciences or related field
Experience counselling women regarding substance abuse
Knowledge of addiction theories and treatment models
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to recognize and diffuse escalating clients
Apply addiction counselling, assessment, and group facilitation skills within women’s residential treatment at Lakeridge Health Pinewood Centre.
