Provide postpartum and newborn care at Halton Healthcare in Milton, using breastfeeding support and family-focused nursing skills.
This permanent full-time Registered Practical Nurse serves the MD Obstetrics LDRP department. The position supports postpartum women, newborns, and their families through compassionate patient care. Rotating 12-hour shifts run Monday through Sunday, subject to operational needs.
Key Responsibilities: Provide quality care to postpartum women
Provide quality care to newborns
Support families throughout maternal newborn care
Support breastfeeding women during postpartum care
Apply venipuncture and intravenous therapy skills
Requirements: Current valuable-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Heart & Stroke-approved Basic Life Support certification
Required breastfeeding certificate
Perinatal Nursing Certificate considered an asset
Ability to meet physical demands and work with families
Bring practical nursing expertise, breastfeeding support, and family-focused care to Halton Healthcare’s maternal newborn department in Milton.
