This full-time Veterinary Technologist III position requires advanced training, experience, and expertise in laboratory animal care. You will perform multiple technical or surgical procedures, assist with staff training, and complete duties assigned by investigators or managerial staff. The role also includes responsibilities performed by a Veterinary Technologist II.
Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced technical or surgical procedures regularly
Provide laboratory animal care under general direction
Participate in project-specific work requested by investigators




Assist staff training in relevant technical procedures
Perform duties within the Level 3 containment area
Requirements: Veterinary technician diploma or related biological sciences degree
Three years of related experience, including two years as Veterinary Technologist
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Effective written and oral English communication
Willingness to participate in immunization and Health and Safety programs
Use advanced veterinary technology, laboratory animal care, and surgical procedure expertise supporting the University of Toronto’s technical research setting.
