Support independent living in Houston as a Community Health Worker II with Northern Health, providing home care and daily living assistance.
Under a Manager or designate, this position delivers home support services according to established care plans. You will assist with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, meal planning, and meal preparation. The work promotes client independence and well-being within the community.
Key Responsibilities: Provide home support services under established care plans
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene
Plan and prepare meals while promoting independence
Perform delegated tasks after completing required training
Recognize client changes and support individual well-being
Requirements: Current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
Recognized Home Support Attendant or Resident Care Aid graduation
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and personal vehicle
Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Secure certificates
Ability to communicate, organize, prioritize, and work independently
Bring home support, communication, and care planning skills to Northern Health’s Houston community services during rotating evening shifts.
