Chances Castlegar seeks an experienced Line Cook for its kitchen team. The successful candidate prepares consistent, quality food while working independently on a busy line. Previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience is required, alongside knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, portion control, and professional kitchen service.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare menu items using established recipes and portion standards
Organize, stock, and manage an assigned kitchen station
Maintain food quality, presentation, timing, and consistency
Store, date, rotate,



and monitor ingredient freshness
Coordinate orders and maintain sanitary workstations
Requirements: Previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience required
Busy restaurant, pub, gaming, or hospitality experience is an asset
Understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety
FoodSafe certification is an asset
Must be 19 and eligible for GPEB criminal record clearance
