Support seniors at Barnswallow Place Community in Elmira as a Personal Support Worker providing daily living assistance and compassionate resident care.
Reporting to an Associate Director of Care, you will work within Sienna’s Long Term Care team. Build relationships with residents and families while supporting health, well-being, comfort, dignity, and respect. Your work includes care based on individual plans and participation in the home’s resident-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities: Support eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming activities
Encourage use of glasses and hearing aids
Administer prescribed medication after additional training
Maintain access to mobility and assistive devices
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, and oral care
Requirements: Complete an approved Personal Support Worker program
Internationally Educated Nurse with a Nursing degree accepted
Provide bedside care and easy treatments
Use tact and diplomacy with residents and families
Pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
Bring compassionate resident support, bedside care, and daily living assistance to Sienna Senior Living in Elmira.
