The Activation Aide supports residents through meaningful recreation and leisure programming. Responsibilities include assessments, goals, interventions, documentation, and collaboration with therapy programs. The role also involves planning activities, communicating programs, purchasing supplies, decorating, setup, facilitation, cleanup, and evaluation. Programs may include small groups, large groups, and special events meeting resident needs.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate, plan, facilitate, document, and evaluate resident programs
Assist residents during group activities and special events
Complete assessments, goals, interventions, and care plans




Collaborate with pet, music, and art therapy programs
Purchase supplies, decorate spaces, set up, and clean up
Requirements: Post-secondary recreation, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or related education
Equivalent experience working with seniors may be considered
Current Standard or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification
Valid Food Handlers Certificate
Program planning, documentation, and evaluation experience required
