Support day-program members through recreational programming, emotional support, and crisis intervention in a full-time, fixed-term position.
The Salvation Army seeks a Day Service Facilitator to work with staff developing and implementing individual and group activities. The work incorporates members' needs, interests, and preferences across recreational, social, educational, and spiritual care programming. You will support person-centred plans, personal development, community participation, and member decision-making. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, until June 19, 2026.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and facilitate recreational, social, and educational activities
Provide emotional, physical, and crisis intervention support
Implement individual plans and document assigned activities




Encourage community participation, independence, and positive social interactions
Support member health, medications, meals, and personal care
Requirements: Ability to work in a day program facility
Ability to accompany members in community environments
Ability to follow safety rules and emergency procedures
Ability to provide secure transportation and defensive driving
Ability to recognize and report abuse or neglect concerns
Bring activity facilitation, person-centred support, communication, and safety awareness to The Salvation Army's day services.
