Operate school buses safely for School District 72 in Campbell River, using defensive driving and student supervision skills. This on-call assignment serves schools and field trips.
As a Casual Bus Driver, you will transport students and staff throughout the district and on field trips. You will follow BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, School District Policy, and established procedures. The work includes supporting students with special needs or challenging behaviour while maintaining positive relationships with families, administrators, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities: Operate school buses according to regulations and district policy
Provide secure transportation for students and staff
Monitor loading, riding, and unloading procedures




Maintain buses through cleaning and minor maintenance
Advise school contacts about student behaviour and discipline
Requirements: Minimum 1,000 hours of recent bus driving experience
Current valid British Columbia Class 2 licence
Airbrake endorsement on the required driver’s licence
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Physical capability to perform all bus driving duties
