Support early childhood education at Bluenose Academy with play-based learning and child-centered practices. This term position works seven hours daily with the Pre-primary Program Team.
The Support Early Childhood Educator assists the Lead Early Childhood Educator in creating secure, inclusive learning environments. The role supports holistic development, observation, documentation, assessment, and family involvement. It follows the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework while responding to children’s interests, cultural needs, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities: Create active, inclusive learning environments for all children
Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programming
Observe, assess,



and document developmental progress
Support classroom routines, transitions, and daily programming
Facilitate family, caregiver, and community involvement
Requirements: ECE Level 2 or 3 preferred
Level 1 or school-age approval accepted with credential commitment
Three years of recent preschool experience
Valid standard First Aid training
Satisfactory required security checks
Bring early childhood expertise, inclusive programming, and solid communication skills to support children at Bluenose Academy.
