As an Advanced Aquatic Instructor, you will independently teach Swim Instructor, National Lifeguard, and related recertification courses. You will support youth and adult learners pursuing instructor and lifeguard certification. The position promotes water safety, leadership development, and skill development through engaging instruction.
Key Responsibilities: Independently instruct Swim Instructor and National Lifeguard courses
Deliver recertification programs for aquatic professionals
Teach engaging lessons to youth and adult participants
Create positive, inclusive, supportive learning environments




Provide customer service to participants and facility users
Requirements: Solid leadership, instructional, and organizational skills
Ability to teach youth and adult learners
Availability for evenings and weekends
Ability to work at various City of Surrey facilities
Current qualifying First Aid or Lifesaving Society certification
Support future instructors and lifeguards through aquatic leadership teaching, water safety instruction, and participant-focused service.
