The Waterloo Region District School Board seeks a German teacher for International Language Credit Courses. Deliver the secondary curriculum for Grades 9–12 while planning lessons, developing materials, and following student progress. Use varied strategies for individual, small-group, and whole-class learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver German curriculum in a virtual classroom
Develop materials aligned with Ministry curriculum documents
Identify learning needs and apply diverse instructional strategies
Evaluate progress and discuss results with families
Use D2L and communicative language activities
Requirements: Current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification
Intermediate and Senior qualifications in German
Demonstrable experience instructing German
Plan and follow up on academic progress
Language instruction certification is an asset
