The Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education seeks a General Maintenance employee serving the Chignecto Family of Schools. The position supports Property Services through carpentry, plumbing, heating, painting, minor electrical, grounds care, and preventative maintenance. Three years of construction or maintenance experience and a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent are required.
Key Responsibilities: Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance across basic trades
Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
Inspect school grounds and remove unsafe objects




Assist with seasonal snow removal, salting, mowing, and plant care
Maintain work orders, inspection records, reports, and documentation
Requirements: Grade 12 diploma or academic equivalent
Three years of construction or maintenance experience
Valid Nova Scotia driver's license and extensive travel willingness
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Educational setting experience is required
Bring broad trade knowledge, safe work practices, and dependable maintenance skills to CCRCE schools throughout the Chignecto Family of Schools.
