Deliver emergency veterinary care onsite in Whitby as an Registered Veterinary Technician using triage, anesthesia, and critical care skills. Work full time in hospital.
VEG is seeking an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician for its Whitby hospital. You will support minor and complex emergencies with doctors and teammates. The work includes treatments, diagnostics, monitoring, emotional support, and advanced techniques for patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide veterinary care from triage through discharge
Administer medications, CRIs, and blood transfusions
Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
Manage anesthesia and monitor fragile patients
Perform CPR and support critical care
Requirements: Accredited veterinary technology associate degree or higher
Registered Veterinary Technician credential in Ontario
At least one year of veterinary technician experience
Basic computer and medical records software skills
Availability for rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
Bring emergency nursing, anesthesia, diagnostics, and compassionate communication to VEG’s full time Whitby hospital team.
