Elk Island Public Schools seeks an Education Assistant for its specialized Social, Emotional, Academic Success Program. The EA supports teachers, student learning, supervision, personal care, physical care, and medical care. The position assists with developmental and behavioural strategies for students with significant emotional, behavioural, learning, and physical health concerns.
Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional classroom tasks
Provide close student supervision during school activities
Support personal, physical, and medical care needs




Assist with developmental and behavioural strategies
Help create a welcoming, safe, caring classroom
Requirements: High School Diploma required
Two years of related experience with children or youth
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience using de-escalation and emotional regulation techniques
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Bring patience, collaboration, and specialized student support skills to the SEAS Education Assistant position at Mills Haven Elementary.
