Ontario Power Generation seeks a Thermal Operating Supervisor for a 12-month contract. The position supervises operations staff, performs Shift Engineer or Assistant Shift Engineer responsibilities, and supports protected, reliable plant performance. It also coordinates shift work, addresses operational issues, and communicates with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, assign, monitor, and support operations staff work
Perform Shift Engineer or Assistant Shift Engineer responsibilities
Coordinate shift priorities with planning and work-management teams
Monitor equipment and respond to operating issues
Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements: Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate
Grade 12 or equivalent education
Ten years of power plant control room experience
Six years of operational supervisory experience
Knowledge of IESO requirements and dispatch operations
