Alberta Health Services needs an independent Driver I for Contracting, Procurement & Supply Management. You will support integrated healthcare supply distribution while serving scheduled routes and ad hoc requests. The work includes mail, packages, vehicle inspections, mileage logs, and reporting defects.
Key Responsibilities: Transport medical supplies, equipment, food, linen, mail, and packages
Follow scheduled routes and respond to ad hoc requests
Complete pre and post vehicle inspections
Log mileage and clean assigned vehicles
Report vehicle defects and malfunctions to management
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent completion
Valid Class 5 Alberta Operator's Licence
Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate
Three years driving three and five ton vehicles
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 kilograms
Bring safe driving, independent route management, and vehicle care skills to AHS healthcare transportation services throughout Calgary.
