This position supports profitable growth through new business submissions, policy renewals, and endorsements. You will evaluate moderately complex risks under senior guidance while applying underwriting judgment, policy systems, and quoting tools. The role also emphasizes broker relationships, customer service, and accurate transaction documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, accept, decline, or amend commercial property transactions
Apply underwriting guidelines and segmentation strategies to risk decisions
Develop solutions supporting profitable growth targets with guidance




Review claims activity and act within underwriting authority
Document transactions and decisions in policy administration systems
Requirements: Two to three years of insurance underwriting experience
Commercial underwriting experience preferred
Fluency in French and English required
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
CIP designation required or considered a strong asset
Use commercial underwriting judgment, broker service, and policy systems expertise to evaluate risks for Definity’s insurance business.
