Provide resident care as a part time Health Care Aide with AgeCare Bow Crest in Calgary, using secure basic care skills. Work under Staff Nurse supervision while supporting individual resident needs.
This Health Care Aide works within a care team to deliver thorough services to residents. The position includes personal care, transfers, feeding, routine treatments, and facility mobility. You will follow care plans, water temperature procedures, Engineering Controls, and Personal Protective Equipment Controls.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents according to care procedures
Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Feed residents according to their care plans
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompany residents to meals, therapy, and recreation
Requirements: Recognized PCA/HCA 2002 or greater certificate, or equivalent education
Active CLHA registration
Fluent English communication orally and in writing
One year of continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education is an asset
Support residents at AgeCare Bow Crest through compassionate personal care, safe transfers, feeding, and daily facility activities.
