As a Residential Driver, you will operate heavy commercial collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems. The work emphasizes safety inspections, route productivity, customer service, and vehicle cleanliness. You will complete trip logs, paperwork, and required reporting while supporting efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities: Operate Automated Side-Load collection trucks on residential routes
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Collect residential waste and recycling according to schedules
Operate hydraulic and compaction systems safely




Report mechanical issues, hazards, and safety incidents promptly
Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver’s License, DZ or above in Ontario
Clean Driver’s Abstract and current CVOR
Minimum one year commercial driving experience
Ability to operate heavy collection vehicles safely
Solid attendance and flexibility for early starts
Bring commercial driving, equipment operation, and safety inspection skills to GFL’s residential collection routes and customer service standards.
