As a Hardware Team engineer at Xanadu, you will bridge facility-level infrastructure with chassis-level mechanical packaging. You will model rack systems, own subsystem modules, and support photonic quantum computers deployed at scale. The work spans thermal and hydraulic sizing, complex assemblies, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
Model and size CDUs, PDUs, manifolds, and fiber managers Own mechanical design of rack-integrated subsystem modules Bridge facility infrastructure and chassis mechanical packaging Apply thermal, liquid-management,
and vibration-control solutions Take mechanical ownership of complex hardware deliverables Requirements:
BSc or higher in mechanical engineering or related discipline 5+ years in data center thermal/mechanical systems engineering Proficiency in thermal and hydraulic system-level sizing Experience with CFD/FEA thermal simulations and GD&T; Experience designing mechanical packaging and complex assemblies Use mechanical design, thermal modeling, and infrastructure expertise to advance Xanadu’s rack-scale photonic quantum computers.
