A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager of Hospitality and Conference Services, this position operates in a fast-paced food service environment, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of full course meals including appetizers, main courses, vegetables and desserts in commercial quantities for public consumption. Other duties include cleaning and maintaining equipment. The Cook fosters a positive team workplace, while maintaining the highest possible standards in food quality and safety. This position works with guidance from the Coordinator, Food Services.

As a successful candidate you will have:

High School diploma and 1 year directly related experience

Demonstrated experience with various institutional food services equipment





Math skills and English literacy

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment required

Certifications required prior to start of employment:

Certification from an accredited educational institution in Food Sanitation and Safety Standards; Food Safety Regulations; and WHMIS standards

Alberta Certified Cook Trade qualification preferred, or an apprentice; equivalencies will be considered
