Scale Operator
Location: 2000 Wentworth Street, Whitby, Ontario

Position Type: Permanent Part time

Reporting To: Site Supervisor

Start Date: Immediately

Hours: Monday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. Saturday, 7:45am to 4:00pm

Compensation: $23.06 per hour

Summary
A Scale Operator is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles,



recording weights accurately, and ensuring all materials are properly documented. They act as the first point of contact for drivers and customers, providing excellent customer service while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company procedures

Responsibilities

Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act

The weighing of vehicles IN and OUT at a reasonable pace to ensure accuracy of tickets and cash transactions

You will perform visual inspections of loads at scale (only) for contamination purposes as well as direct traffic to proper drop off locations

You will be required to do Cash, Debit and credit card transactions, retail experience preferred

You will review all tickets, cash register and global payments receipts to ensure they are correct and assist with paperwork as required, Answer telephone enquiries, take orders and direct calls

Providing exceptional customer service

Knowledge of and practical skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), strong PC based systems knowledge; with excellent keyboarding skills

You will be required to fill in for any vacations or sick calls
