Support complex mental health care at Carewest’s Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre through therapeutic communication and behavioural support. Regular full time and part-time lines are available.
As a Health Care Aide, you will support adults with complex mental health conditions, addictions, cognitive impairments, and behavioural challenges. Care is delivered in secure and non-secure environments using person-centred, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approaches. You will help promote stability, safety, independence, rehabilitation, engagement, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities: Support clients with complex psychosocial and mental health needs
Establish therapeutic and professional client relationships
Provide behavioural support in continuing care environments




Assist with frequent client lifting, transfers, and repositioning
Support individual care goals and meaningful engagement
Requirements: Grade 12 graduation
Health Care Aide certification or equivalent
Active current registration with CLHA
Effective English reading, writing, and communication skills
Knowledge of mental health, addictions, and responsive behaviours considered an asset
Bring compassionate client support, therapeutic relationships, and mental health knowledge to Carewest’s specialized continuing care programs.
