Health Care Aides support people across their lives within Southern Health-Santé Sud, using communication skills and person-centered care. The annual base hours are 2015.
This Health Care Aide position serves a vibrant, diverse region through secure, accessible health care. A recognized Health Care Aide Certificate, Basic Life Support certification, and health care experience are preferred. The work requires confidentiality, organization, teamwork, and effective communication. Care for elderly or disabled clients is preferred.
Key Responsibilities: Organize and prioritize assigned workload
Perform as a team member and seek assistance
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Interact respectfully with diverse populations
Travel to regional facilities as duties require
Requirements: Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
One to two years’ health care experience preferred
Current Basic Life Support certification for Acute Care
Knowledge of PHIA, FIPPA, WHMIS, VPP, and SCHIPP
Ability to meet physical and mental job demands
Bring health care experience, confidentiality, teamwork, and communication skills to Health Care Aide work with Southern Health-Santé Sud.
