Support student learning at Howe Sound Secondary as an Education Assistant, providing higher-level care and assistance in District – South. This role serves students with diverse needs.
Under principal direction and classroom teacher supervision, the Education Assistant supports students with physical disabilities, chronic health diagnoses, intellectual disabilities, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs. The work supports stated program goals and objectives at Howe Sound Secondary School. The assignment may include supervising designated areas inside or outside school before, during, or after school. The successful applicant must deliver a higher level of care.
Key Responsibilities: Assist students with designated physical, health, intellectual, or behavioural needs




Support achievement of stated program goals and objectives
Supervise designated indoor or outdoor school areas
Provide supervision before, during, or after school
Deliver a higher level of care
Requirements: Grade 12 completion and a special program
Over six months through one year of related experience
Capilano University Education Assistant Program preferred as special program
Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License
Basic First Aid and learning tools knowledge
Bring student assistance, supervision, and higher-level care skills to Education Assistant work at Howe Sound Secondary School.
