We're currently accepting applications for Full-Time or Part-Time Security Guards to join our Port Hardy portfolio! This is a great opportunity to work at a variety of sites and be part of a supportive, professional team. If you're people-smart, customer-focused, and enjoy staying active, this could be the perfect fit for you! The role can be physically active and may require availability to work mornings, days, nights, and/or weekends. Schedules and timings vary by assignment - with various fixed/permanent full time roles available, as well as opportunities for casual or part-time work if desired.

Wage: $23.00 per hour

Training Wage: $19.00

What You'll Be Doing?

Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with clients, tenants, and the public

Write explicit, detailed reports (incident, emergency, liability, and daily activity reports)

Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies - and contact emergency responders when needed

Provide first aid and medical response when required

Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of people, property, and equipment

Use phone and computer applications to communicate site activity

What Makes You a Great Fit (Core Competencies):

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent customer service mindset

Solid understanding of non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation

Sharp observation skills

Ability to stay calm, make quick decisions, and work independently during emergencies

What You Need:





Valid BC Security License

Class 5 or Class 7N BC Driver's License (required for Mobile Patrol)

6 months of security experience and/or 6 months of customer service experience is an asset

Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1) or higher is an asset

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Valuable physical fitness - ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid BC Security Licence

Valid Driver's License
