Safely transport students from Charlie Lake as a School Bus Driver, completing inspections and following road safety requirements. This replacement assignment works five hours daily.
Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, you will drive students to and from school on scheduled and non-scheduled trips. Routes may change according to departmental need, while duties include student safety, bus inspections, discipline, and sanitation. The assignment runs from November 16, 2026, to November 12, 2027, or the incumbent’s return.
Key Responsibilities: Operate school buses safely in wide-ranging road and weather conditions
Complete and record daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Report mechanical and safety device defects promptly




Teach safety procedures and conduct emergency evacuation drills
Maintain student discipline and report concerns
Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent education
Class 2 Driver’s Licence with Air Brakes endorsement
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Preferred two years’ recent bus driving experience
Pass the District’s Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search
Bring safe driving, student supervision, inspection, and communication skills to school transportation serving the Charlie Lake area.
